"Idealisten"

Length: 29:36 Click to here to hear

Due to some wiring issues, a good portion of this show is in mono. This had me a little bummed at the end of the performance, but listening the following morning, it holds more weight and is much more successful than I thought. At the heart of this show is a recording that I've been sitting on for months, a field recording I made with Sandra, a woman at the playground who was visiting Brooklyn from Tennessee with her church group. · (Samples in order of first appearance) James Callis Gaius Baltar in Battlestar Gallactica, Clyfford Still, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Mtume Gant, Kid Lucky, Dennis Leroy Kangalee, Tracey Emin, Harryette Mullen, Mark Fisher, Sujatha Baliga and more. · Songs and music samples by Bee K.

"A B-Level Show"

Length: 25:15 Click to here to hear

Some lovely passages for a b-level show. It gets very loud and intense during the penultimate. It doesn't do much of anything at times. I think I like this, actually. "The Revolution Will Not Abandon Justin Bieber" Favorite Show

Length: 31:31 Click to here to hear

Well, OK, one new show this month: a beautiful live performance at the Sidewalk Cafe, putting the Antifolk Fest to rest, using one of my gear setups as well as the venue's upright piano. Highlights from a session of Fairplay with the Krieger daughters, an adventure involving an escape from an orbiting prison station, a journey to find an underground billionaire farm bunker, and a post-apocalyptic pop star harvest festival. · Mackenzie Davis and Lee Pace on Halt and Catch Fire, the Krieger Family playing Alex Khost's FairPlay RPG, Donna Haraway, Alexis Shotwell, Gordon Parks, sample from "What Do You Mean?" by Justin Bieber, Buckminister Fuller. · Songs and music samples by Bee K (except the Justin Bieber sample, because given the situation he was put into I feel it was the least I could do.

"Acousti(((Death" - Yossarian Feedback Live at Sidewalk, Sept. 16 2012

Length: 19:09 Click to here to hear

There are no new episodes of Broken Window Garden this month, but I will post a few old shows from precursor projects. This was a Yossarian Feedback show that was done completely acoustic, trying to set up actual performers as if they were samplers. It involved me giving people specific reading material, prompts for improvisation, and then running around the room, tapping people on the shoulder and trying to manipulate the dynamics of the room. There are plans to execute some Broken Window Garden shows like this. Performer details posted soon!
